legal awareness is imperative for a healthy society

In every state, each and every person is protected through certain laws of the state from violence, usurpation of basic rights, vandalism and any other kinds of aggression. Legal help is also among the basic and fundamental rights of an individual that are rendered by the state voluntarily. This is also the moral obligation of every individual to strictly follow the statutory laws that are applicable on all within the boundaries of a certain state or country. With this regard the legal consciousness or the legal awareness holds vital importance and this must be inculcated in the masses to prevent any violent events that could be prevented with the help of proper awareness among the masses. Once they are made aware of their basic legal rights they would be in a position to raise their voice against any discrimination in their society or even at their workplace.

The legal consciousness or awareness is important to prevail in the society from multiple perspectives. Al though in the advanced countries people are very much aware of their basic human rights that are given by their constitution. But in many developing countries we see the poor and deteriorating state of affairs with regards to the implementation of the law where people are mostly not aware of their fundamental rights. On this behalf they are usually exploited by the powerful elite and their rights are usurped by the powerful class. In many of the eastern and far eastern countries the affairs with regards to the law are very disturbing. In many developing countries a number of NGOs are working to make people aware of their basic rights. All this is happening also because of lack of the literacy rate around the globe. People are usually kept away from the right of education so that they do not get acquainted with the power and rights of a common man. The elite and powerful classes keep exploiting their basic rights and treat them as their servants.
